Solidarity with PSC Encampment for Palestine Statement
Savage Daughters is unequivocally in solidarity with students all across Turtle Island establishing encampments, especially Pensacola State College, in protest of the ongoing genocide in Palestine.
As an organization, we strive to dismantle the barriers that have sought to confine us, cultivating a world where cultural resilience thrives and the intersections of identities are celebrated, a world where all marginalized people can flourish free from the constraints of colonial labels and exclusions and most importantly, where the term "savage" is reclaimed as a symbol of strength, wisdom and unapologetic authenticity.
Cultivating this new world is a marathon and right now we are sprinting to Palestine.
As PSC organizers have stated, A better world comes from doing, not hoping or wishing.
We condemn all police violence against protestors and demand that campus officials do not use any means to suppress student organizers.
We call on all of our organizational partners to support Pensacola State College’s encampment beginning on May 6, 2024 by endorsing this statement.
